Now that Lily is here, I feel like I’m even more cautious of what comes into our home. I want to be sure that we aren’t bringing unnecessary chemicals into the house so I’m even more DIY-happy with our cleaning supplies.

However, with having a baby in the house, I need easy. As much as I want to at times, I can’t spend forever on a project right now. And who am I kidding – I’d much rather be enjoying some baby snuggles instead of cleaning our house ;) But one of my favorite cleaners only needs two ingredients and is super simple to make.

Citrus Infused Vinegar Cleaner.

We always have vinegar in the house and when we have oranges, lemons or limes – we rarely do anything with the peels. So this practical cleaner is perfect for our household!

Why citrus?

Oranges and lemons provide some great cleaning properties. We almost always use oranges because we have those on hand, but either one is a great option depending on what you want to clean.

Oranges are great for cutting through grease, making them the perfect addition to your kitchen cleaning cabinet. Need antiviral and antibacterial cleaning properties instead? Opt for lemon peels. Or if you’d like both, just use them together for a super powerful citrus infused vinegar cleaner.
