Ever since we started using essential oils for our business, I couldn’t help but really dig in to see how amazing they are. I was blown away by how useful every single oil was. Each one has unique properties that are miracle workers and I absolutely love using them outside of work now! So I thought I’d share my knowledge and love for essential oils on the blog.

One of my favorite essential oils to use is lemon. Especially with the laundry list of benefits of lemon essential oil! I’m a sucker for the calming citrusy scent and yet there are so many other amazing properties in it. Like the fact that lemon water is great for weight loss, flushing toxins, and aiding in curing nasty colds. Along with that, there are a ton of other uses for it. Properties

Anti-fungal, antiviral, astringent, diuretic, digestive aid, antibacterial, disinfectant

Aids In

Stomach problems including: indigestion, cramps, and upset stomach. Stress relief including: fatigue, exhaustion, anxiety, and nervousness. Skin problems including: treating acne, reducing excessive oil, and improving the look of dull skin. Cleaning solutions including: freshening laundry, degreasing, washing dishes, and general cleaning (when mixed with water or equal parts water and vinegar.)

Warnings

Lemon oil reacts strongly to sunlight. Use extra caution when using lemon oil and going out in sunlight.
