MOJO Mindful Living Subscription Box Review

Inside this post: A look at the August 2019 MOJO Mindful Living Subscription Box that I received in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are my own.

I’ve been a huge fan of Generation Mindful since late last year. We’ve been using their Time-In Toolkit since then and it has made the terrible twos/threes a lot easier on all of us.

So I was really excited to A) join their affiliate team and B) test out a fairly new product: the MOJO Mindful Living Subscription Box. I received August’s box of goodies and I was super impressed with the idea as well as the execution.

The idea behind the MOJO box starts with understanding that teaching your children about their emotions and other super important life skills starts with you. Self-care is such a key part of being able to teach our kids through mindful actions and this monthly box inspires you to take time for yourself without a ton of extra effort.

Each curated box is built around a different word for each month:

And each special box includes:

  • Inspiring 5″x7″ art
  • An activity guide with ideas to practice the current month’s theme
  • A children’s book to share your mojo with your kid(s)
  • A treat yo’self item or two, just for you

These boxes feel special. And it makes the idea of self-care even more appealing. Having someone curate a box to help you thrive, and therefore your family thrive, that can just be delivered to your mailbox is such a treat.

The MOJO subscription box makes self-care a little easier and that is definitely something to be excited about. It’s so hard to “fit” self-care in some days so this huge for me.

Here’s a peek at what was in the August Generational Mindful MOJO box:

  • A children’s book to share your mojo with your kid(s)
  • A treat yo’self item or two, just for you

5×7″ Art

This piece was perfect for me. I feel so much more like myself in nature, especially when the journey isn’t near to us. It’s a good source of inspiration for me and I’m excited to find the perfect home in our home for it.

Children’s Book

My Body, My Home was a great book for Lily and me. We’ve tried meditating together before and her attention span wasn’t quite there yet. But this book brought a more visual concept to grounding oneself which was perfect for both of us to connect over.

Activity Guide

The activity guide this month centered around the Listen theme as well and it helped me get back to my reasoning for meditating and self-care. My body was screaming for it, and for awhile – I just wasn’t listening. Once I started to, I felt like I could finally come up for air again.

Treat Yo’Self Items

Speaking of listening, a pair of ear candles and a bath bomb came with this month’s box. I’ve been dying to try ear candling and now I don’t have a reason not to! The bath bomb smells heavenly. These little treat yourself items were an awesome addition. Such a pleasant nudge to indulge in some self care.

I can’t wait to see what’s in the upcoming boxes because I’ve gotten so much out of the first box! It’s also such a great reminder to nudge self-care to the forefront of my mind – not the back burner.

Your turn! How do you make sure that self-care is a prominent part of your life?
