Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream

Ingredients
  • 2 Cups of Heavy Cream
  • 2 Cups of Half and Half
  • 1/2 Cup Sugar
  • 1/2 Tsp Salt
  • 1 Tsp Peppermint Extract
  • 1/2 Tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 3/4 Cup Dark Chocolate Chips
  • 3/4 Cup Andes Candies Chopped
Instructions
  1. Mix the heavy cream, half and half, peppermint extract and vanilla extract together until thoroughly mixed.
  2. Add in sugar and salt then mix until combined.
  3. Pour into the KitchenAid Ice Cream Maker Attachment and stir on 1 for 15 min.
  4. Slowly pour in the dark chocolate chips and Andes Candies. Stir for another 2-3 minutes.
  5. Remove from the mixing bowl and immediately transfer into a quart sized freezable container. Place in the freezer for a minimum of 3 hours or overnight.
Recipe Notes

These directions are for the KitchenAid Ice Cream Maker Attachment. If you're using a different ice cream maker, follow the directions accordingly once the first two steps are completed.
