Heat the oil in a medium pan over medium-high heat.
Saute the onions and garlic until fragrant, approximately 3-5 minutes.
Add in the ground turkey and cook until it is no longer pink (approximately 5 minutes.) Drain any excess from pan.
Add in the cumin, oregano, chili powder, and cayenne. Mix thoroughly. Add in salt and pepper (if using.)
In the slow cooker, add in the rest of the ingredients: the green chiles, vegetable broth, and the beans.
Add in the turkey mixture and mix thoroughly.
Cook on high for 2-2 1/2 hours or until fully cooked.
